Every day I clean the Winchesters’ beautiful house top to bottom. I collect their daughter from school. And I cook a delicious meal for the whole family before heading up to eat alone in my tiny room on the top floor. I try to ignore how Nina makes a mess just to watch me clean it up. How she tells strange lies about her own daughter. And how her husband Andrew seems more broken every day. But as I look into Andrew’s handsome brown eyes, so full of pain, it’s hard not to imagine what it would be like to live Nina’s life. The walk-in closet, the fancy car, the perfect husband. I only try on one of Nina’s pristine white dresses once. Just to see what it’s like. But she soon finds out… and by the time I realize my attic bedroom door only locks from the outside, it’s far too late. But I reassure myself: the Winchesters don’t know who I really am. They don’t know what I’m capable of… My Thoughts: The journey with The Housemaid kept me turning pages rapidly. Back and forth we go, trying to figure out the secrets that will keep the characters on their toes. I thought my favorite was Millie, but then the story flips and we learn more about Nina. Nothing is quite what it seems. Will Nina turn out to be a character we enjoy, too? By the end, all is sorted. 5 stars.
“Welcome to the family,” Nina Winchester says as I shake her elegant, manicured hand. I smile politely, gazing around the marble hallway. Working here is my last chance to start fresh. I can pretend to be whoever I like. But I’ll soon learn that the Winchesters’ secrets are far more dangerous than my own…

Literally. If I could give this book 10 stars, I would. It is SO good. Not what you expect to happen at all. It has so many twists and turns. You’ll be on the edge of your seat reading it and you won’t be able to put it down!

Good plot. We think the story is going in the same way like any other book. But it goes in a unexpected way. The author writing is brilliant. One time read is good.

Freida McFadden really outdid herself writing these books. I honestly wish I could read these books for the first time again.

You think you know…..but in all reality you don’t. The way I thought I knew what was going to come next and it happened completely opposite.

Two great books, I liked the first one better. Idk, there is just something about not knowing the type of twist that is coming at the end. The second book was great, but I was sitting, waiting and expecting something more extravagant than the first. Still two distinct stories, different endings, and different twists. I heard there is a third coming out? Not sure if I’ll read it.
First book : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Second book : ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I loved the first book. I didn’t know where it was going to take me and end like. The second book it was kind of predictable and when I got to the second half of the book, I already knew what was probably going to unfold. Still enjoyed but I loved the first book more than the second
