The Percy Jackson trailer was released at the 2023 Disney Expo, sending fans in a chaotic frenzy over the 50 seconds clip. The trailer features Walker Scobell reciting the opening page to the first Percy Jackson book nearly word for word, cementing the promise author Rick Riordan told fans - the TV series will follow the books as much as possible.Not much else has been revealed about the upcoming Disney+ show, but that hasn't stopped fans from showing their excitement. The date for the TV show hasn't been released yet, but it is expected sometime in 2024, so while fans wait, here are some memes showcasing their favorite main protagonist, Percy Jackson.
The Hardest Parent Mystery
In the Percy Jackson universe, when a child appears at Camp-Halfblood they discover they are a demigod, which is half human, half God. From then on, children wait to be claimed by their godly parent, this may take some time. Sometimes it's unclear who's the parent, and sometimes it's glaringly obvious.

Percy The Only Child
When Percy first arrives at Camp Halfblood in the first book, he is the only child of Poseidon. While it was lonely at times, it did mean that Percy was the only one to get his father's attention, and as a demigod that is extremely rare.
However, in the second book, Percy discovers he's not the only one. His father has another child, making Percy somewhat jealous. As someone who now has to split his attention with his already absent dad, he didn't take it well. But his character arc with his sibling was worth it all.
Percy And Water
Poseidon, God of the Sea, has some very powerful abilities, such as massive strength, controlling water, creating tsunamis and tidal Waves, floods and droughts, the list continues. So being the son of the almighty Sea God, there's expected to be some perks.
Percy learns early on that he cn not only control water, but water heals him from his physical wounds and tiredness. If Percy is severely wounded in a fight, the best option for him is to find some water, and he's all good to go for a second round.
Dinner At Camp Halfblood
One important thing to know about Camp Halfblood is that at dinner, the tables are assigned by godly parents. Meaning that all the children of one specific god all sit at the same table, and they're not allowed to move. It all sounds fine, except for only child Percy Jackson.
Since Percy is the only demigod child of Poseidon, that means he's the only one to sit at the Poseidon table at dinner. He is not allowed to move to other tables either, which means he eats alone. Watching everyone else laugh and enjoy themselves at breakfast, lunch and dinner is one con of having no siblings.
Percy's Insults
Throughout the series, Percy has multiple encounters with the Gods of Olympus. Some of these interactions don't go so well, and when Gods have fragile egos, demigods have to be as respectful as possible.

Percy, however, doesn't hold back. He's thrown in some insults and sarcastic remarks that might have gotten him into trouble a few times. But that's what readers love about it, he isn't afraid to tell them the truth, even if he might have to deal with the consequences.
Percy vs The Gods
Ever since Percy finds out his true identity in the first books, the gods have been meddling in Percy's life. In every book in the series, Percy is set on a quest. The reason for these quests is the doing of the gods themselves.
It becomes quickly clear that Percy can't have a peaceful year to himself without the gods interfering and messing something up. So Percy has to spend all this time fixing and tending to the gods' demands, no matter how tired from quests he is.
Sally Jackson
A demigod often finds himself breaking the rules. Life as a halfblood isn't easy, so what's done must be done. Percy finds himself breaking the rules from the first book, he's not scared to put himself out there and get what he wants, even if that means going against authority.
However, there is one person that he wouldn't dare to cross, and that is Sally Jackson, his caring mother and fan favorite of the series. She has done everything he possibly can to keep Percy safe and loves him with all her heart, so it's only right that Percy does everything she says, even if it's the dishes.
Percy And Poseidon
The relationship between a demigod and their godly parent is a messy one. Being absent from their lives can make things awkward and unfamiliar when they finally meet, especially when that parent is an all-powerful being able to kill. So it makes sense why demigods are awkward with their godly parent.
Percy, however, is very different upon meeting his father Poseidon, God of the Sea. He is one of the lucky few to meet him several times, and so their relationship differs from others. Percy learns to be comfortable with Poseidon, because he may be a god, but he is also his father.
